What's better than studying abroad? Sharing the experience with a friend!
The Study Abroad Office is bringing back the "Bring a Fellow Flame" campaign for Spring Break and Summer 2025 faculty-directed prgorams to encourage UIC students to share the opportunity to study abroad with their peers. Students who encourage a friend or classmate to apply for and commit to a UIC faculty-directed study abroad program will benefit from an application and SAO admin fee waiver of $250
Complete this short form to let us know the friend you are nominating to study abroad with you. We will contact them, share that you have nominated them, and invite them to apply to the program. If you both get accepted and commit to the program, your $250 SAO admin fee will be waived.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Both students will need to apply, be accepted, and commit to a UIC faculty-directed study abroad program for the Spring Break or Summer 2025 terms.
Terms & Conditions:
- The friend/peer must not already have applied to the program. In other words, this campaign is intended to incentivize new individuals to join a program.
- You can only benefit from the waiver one time on a single program.
