Organisational Effectiveness Evaluation
This is designed to be a self-reflection tool to help you assess where you are as an organisation. It has been developed for Hub Cymru Africa by its founding partners and component parts: WCIA, WCVA, Sub-Sahara Advisory Panel and the Wales and Africa Health Links Network, in association with the Network of Scotland's International Development Alliance and BOND. It will help you identify your organisation's strengths and weaknesses.
The indicators are adapted from BOND and NIDOS Effectiveness Toolkit.
It covers 12 key areas of organisational effectiveness:
1. Organisation and Mission
2. Finance and Fundraising
3. Awareness Raising in Wales
4. Communication with partners
5. Involving the right people/volunteers
6. Exchange Visits
7. Community participation in projects
8. Southern capacity and ownership
9. Monitoring, evaluation and learning
10. Transparency and open governance
12. Diversity and inclusion
Under each of the 12 sections, you will be asked to tick a statement that you believe is most applicable to your organisation. Each question will focus on elements of organisational development.
Each statement has a score (prior to the statement) which will help you pinpoint the areas where you can improve your organisation. Once you have completed the form you will be able to add up your scores and match them against the Wales Africa Effectiveness Scorecard. Your completed survey responses will be sent to you via email.
