There are a lot of exciting opportunities for volunteers in a range of departments; if you’re interested in being part of the team, please read the following info and guidelines before applying via the form below.
HOW DO I APPLY?1. Read through all of the information and requirements.2. Fill out the Jai Thep volunteer application. Please ensure you provide a valid email address. This is how you will be contacted between now and the festival.3. The crew is an essential part of Jai Thep and we ask for a commitment to the event. All selected applicants must confirm their commitment to volunteer coming to help work for 3 days (6 hours/a day). Provided that you show up on time to all of your shifts, fulfill your assigned duties and don’t break any rules, you will be given a 3-day ticket.
RULES AND REGULATIONSPlease read the volunteer rules, information and terms & conditions thoroughly before submitting an application. In filling out the following application form, you confirm you have read and understood the information and agree to abide by the rules and regulations.-All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, no exceptions.-Volunteers receive no monetary compensation for their services.-Volunteer tickets are nontransferable.-Volunteers must be on time to all assigned shifts.-Volunteers are required to abide by all health and safety regulations.-Any protective equipment that is assigned for a particular task must be used.-Volunteers are required to attend a training session at the beginning of the live dates. Information will be provided to successful applicants.-Incomplete submissions will not be considered.-If you are caught under the influence, stealing, improper behavior , you will lose your access to the festival.
Preparation Staff are required to arrive for work punctually, well rested, sober and prepared for the assigned task and the weather.
What to wearThe weather in Thailand in February can fluctuate and it’s essential to prepare for weather contingencies from scorching midday heat, cooler nighttime temperatures and even the possibility of rain. Waterproofs, extra layers, sunscreen, sun hat and bug spray are all useful essentials.
What are the shifts like?During the time, volunteers will work a minimum of 18 total hours divided into three (3) 6-hour shifts. Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to each assigned shift.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS-I understand that I am applying to be a volunteer at Jai Thep (“Event”), for which I will receive no compensation.-I understand that there is no guarantee that I will be selected to be a volunteer at the Event.-I am currently over the age of 18 or will be over the age of 18 by February 2 , 2018.-I attest to the truth of all statements made in my application.-I understand that the use of alcohol and/or controlled substances before or while on duty is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from Jai thep, repossession of all credentials, forfeiture of deposit, and removal from the festival grounds.-I understand that if I violate any event rule, I will not get a ticket for the festival-I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand these terms and conditions.
FAQsWhere will I be working? Can I choose where I will be placed?Shifts in each department are based on placement consideration. Additional shifts may open up closer to the festival if/when someone cancels.

My bestie is also volunteering. Can you coordinate our shifts?When you and your friend fill out your applications, be sure to indicate each other’s name. Keep in mind that with so many volunteers and many varied needs, we cannot guarantee that you will share assignments with your friends, but we will certainly try.
When do I show up for my shift?Please arrive 30 minutes before your assigned volunteer shift begins and be ready to work. As we get closer to the event, additional details will be sent about checking in for your shifts.
What if I have to cancel?If you need to cancel, be sure to do so via email to email@example.com. by January 25, 2018. Due to the overwhelming number of applicants, only successful applicants will be contacted.
How can I ensure that I get on my preferred volunteer crew?There are no guarantees of volunteer crew placements. If you have special skills that would make you a better fit for a certain crew, please note that on the application. We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Is transportation or accommodation provided? All volunteers are responsible for their own accommodation and transportation.
I can’t commit to be a fully-fledged volunteer, but I’d still like to help out for a few hours. Can I do that?We appreciate the offer but for the sake of continuity, we need volunteers who can commit to working 18 hours.
