2025: Aspects of Practice Class Sign Up
Register for BZC's Aspects of Practice Period Thursday night class. [Note that in addition to signing up for the practice period, folks need to sign up for the class as well as the individual one-day sesshins (October 11 and November 8)]

The topic of the class is The Sandokai – ‘the harmony of difference and equality" -- was written by the eighth Chinese Zen ancestor Shitou Xiqian (Japanese: Sekito Kisen) and has special relevance for our times.  The class will use the commentary by Suzuki Roshi in Branching Streams Flow in the Darkness. An additional helpful reference is chapter 7 on the Sandokai in Okumura’s Living by Vow.
