About Youthline's Mission
Our mission is to provide a listening ear and counselling support to young people aged 35 and below, regardless of race or religion. Youths can reach us through our helpline or other digital touchpoints and we offer a safe space in their journey of hope.
Training and Community Events
Volunteers will receive training and skills development in areas like psychological first aid, para-counselling basics, etc.
To support our volunteers further, we will also hold regular community sessions called Growth Circle, where volunteers can meet, share and learn from each other.
Available Roles:
Helpline Care Officer
Our helpline volunteers will provide a listening ear to youths over the phone or on Whatsapp. The Helpline operates from Mondays - Saturdays, 12pm - 9pm. Volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of 1 shift a week of 3hrs.
Counsellor
To provide support to youths who are struggling emotionally through regular counselling therapy sessions. Volunteer counsellors provide this service pro-bono. Counsellors must have completed their post-graduate counselling programmes and registered with Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
Fundraiser - Ambassadors Programme
We are looking for fundraising ambassadors to help us reach out to the public with the goal of spreading awareness of the service and raise much needed funds that are required to sustain and expand our ability to serve more youths who need help. We are seeking volunteers between the ages of 18 and 30 for this programme.
