All required school/organization approvals must be obtained before requesting a date.

Teacher Responsibilities

Teachers must submit scans of all permission slips (incld. boat waivers & photo release forms) 2 weeks prior to the scheduled date.
Teachers must submit physical copies of boat waivers the day of - students without a waiver will not be able to go on the boat.
3 participant manifests (one for the teacher, one for Wahoo Bay Staff & one for S. FL. Diving Headquarters staff)
Ensuring you have the required number of chaperones per class size (1:5 unless more are required per your school))
Pre-assigned Chaperone Groups - each chaperone should know which 5 students they are responsible for
Lunch must be in a cooler (if eating lunch on boat)
Snacks/Water/Medicines etc. in Cooler
Students should bring a water bottle - bottles can be refilled on boat.

General Responsibilities:

Arrive on-time but no earlier than 15 minutes before the beginning of the scheduled Field Trip
Student Cell Phones must be turned off and put away for the duration of the Field trip. We are not responsible for loss or damage to cell phones.
Students and chaperones should only bring items they need. Items may get wet or damaged depending on conditions. We are not responsible for any damage or loss to personal items. (No earbuds, ipads, cell phones, etc.)
All participants will be required to wear life vests when appropriate. Participants can request to use them at all times if desired.
All Participants are required to wear appropriate shoes & clothing.
Reef-safe sunscreen is preferred - please encourage students to wear long sleeves and hats.
Snorkeling must be pre-approved by principal and requested by teacher at least 2 weeks in advance.
Anyone wishing to snorkel must pass a swim test before donning snorkel gear. Pool noodles will be provided to all snorkelers.
In-water activities are only offered if weather permits.
