NNOHA Sealants Improvement Collaborative
The NNOHA Sealants Improvement Collaborative is a nine-month Quality Improvement collaborative in which 40 health centers from across the country will be supported through a network of health centers, expert training and technical assistance. The aim is to implement quality improvement for health center dental programs, a mini-dashboard of oral health metrics, and the application of patient-centered and evidence-based care.
How to participate
Health Centers form a committed Improvement Team that will attend three in-person Learning Sessions and monthly Action Period calls and identify, test, and implement changes within their health centers. The Improvement Team works together throughout the Sealants Improvement Collaborative to learn and implement strategies and measurement processes that will improve patient-centered and evidence-based care.
Fees for the Collaborative include
• Registration for 2-4 team members to attend 3 in-person learning sessions ($100/person/learning session)
• Travel, including but not limited to, airfare, hotel, and meals (breakfast and lunch will be provided at each Learning Session) for the 3 in-person learning sessions in Chicago, IL

Improvement Team Requirements
Teams must be able to fill the roles of Improvement Team Leader, Dentist Champion, Dental Operations Manager, Data Manager, and Senior Leader with at least 4 members from their organization. We recommend at least one member be a dental hygienist (if your health center employs one) and at least one team member be familiar with retrieving data from your electronic dental record and tracking operational activities. Cross-training your team will sustain the improvement process. Teams must be able to work collaboratively across roles and be receptive to change. Teams should also be willing to share data, tools, and resources with their colleagues throughout the Collaborative.
