This form is our local process for supervisors to nominate their personnel for any Geographic Area for Fall 2018. Listed below are the courses offered locally, by Great Basin Training and then some other boxes that you can complete for any other training outside of our area.

All nominations for Fall courses listed need to be submitted by Wednesday August 31, 2018 via this Google Form ONLY unless otherwise stated. This allows for local and zone prioritization of nominations prior to the final training due date.

L380 Fireline Leadership 10/29/18-11/2/18 Boise, ID Tuition:$700
Target Group: Personnel desiring to be qualified as Strike Team Leader or Unit Leader. Objective: The intent of this training is provide tools to build and maintain effective and cohesive crews/teams. The training should be designed to provide at least 50% time as exercises and simulations.
Meets course prerequisites: Incident personnel with supervisory responsibilites and has completed L180

RX310 Introduction to Fire Effects 11/5/18-11/9/18 Boise, ID No tuition for BLM
Target Group: Fire and resource specialists involved in fire related decision making and working toward burn boss or other prescribed fire positions. Description: Designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and communicate the relationships between basic fire regimes and first order fire effects, the effects of fire treatments and to manipulate fire treatments to achieve desired effects.
Meets course prerequisites: Working knowledge of fire behavior and understanding of basic ecological principles. Will complete the required pre-work.

Target Group: Personnel who will be instructing NWCG courses. Description: Designed to help students become effective facilitative instuctors, improve training delivery and quality by presenting instructional methods with an emphasis on student-oriented adult training techniques.
