What Interests You?
NAMI Vermont Walk - We are looking for volunteers who can help plan event logistics, run errands, and assist on the day of the event.
Clerical/Administrative Work - Do you have data entry or computer experience? Do you enjoy doing research? Do you have a penchant for envelope stuffing? Can you help with other office work as needed?
Outreach and Promotion of NAMI Vermont - We are looking for individuals to assist in planning and distributing educational/ promotional materials to support our programs and attack stigma.
Write an article, book review, or press release - Submit newsletter articles, personal stories relating to mental health, book reviews other stories, and press releases of interest to family members, peers, and providers.
Serve as a Committee Member - Volunteer for the following Committees: NAMI Walks; Fundraising; Conference; Advocacy; Finance; Consumer Advisory Council; or other ad hoc committees that may be established.
Fundraising - I would like to run a NAMI fundraiser in my community. The NAMI Vermont office can offer support in organizing, advertising, and managing an event.
Serve as a Champion - I am available to help people with transportation to and from classes, meetings, and other NAMI Vermont events.
Guest Speaker - Family members and peers who are willing to share their story at various events
Train to be a Teacher or Facilitator for our Programs

Provider Program Teachers: Offered to Mental Health Care Providers and Professionals during business hours, total 15 or 4-hours; taught by 5-member team that includes 2 family members, 2 peers and 1 provider
Family-to-Family Education Teachers: Offered in the spring and fall on a weekday evening for 2 ½ hours, 12 consecutive weeks
Mental Illness and Recovery Teachers: 1 day workshop, offered throughout the state on Saturdays
In Our Own Voice Presenter: 60-90 minute workshop, offered throughout the state
Family Support Group Facilitators: Family members meet once a month for 90 minutes
Connection Recovery Support Group Facilitators: Peers meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for 90 minutes
