Time and Lateness Policy
Please arrive to your class 5-10 minutes before the class starts and wait or practice to get ready for your instructor, in order to receive the full time of the lesson. Classes will be canceled and still charged if the student is more than 15 minutes late for class. Lessons still end "on time" even if the student is late, as we have other students lined up in the schedule (This pertains to online ZOOM lessons also)

School Cancellation Policy
Outside of sickness, I understand that I need to notify the studio 48 hours in advance of any rescheduling and cancellations of lessons through filling out an absence form on the
. There is no need to call or email. Students can also sign up for a group makeup on the same page!

Our studio is a performance based school with recitals year around. We create music videos and shows that are filmed and photographed to share with our parents and on our various social media sites and websites. By Checking below you are giving our studio permission to use images of your child for the promotion of DG Rockers Inc. and Bay Ridge School of Music
I give DG Rockers Inc. and Bay Ridge School of Music the perpetual, royalty-free right to use mine and/or my child’s photo(s)in publications, press releases, the school website, and the school social media sites.
Automatic Credit Card payment and lessons cancellation Policy
All of our lesson payments are done by AUTOMATIC credit card/debit card/ACH payments and we charge on the 1st of every month a flat fee. To cancel payments for the following month, you must notify our studio and fill out a withdrawal form BEFORE the 15th of the previous month (e.g. If you are canceling in August, you must fill out a withdrawal form by the 15th of July)

In the event an instructor is sick or absent (this is the exception and not the norm) a substitute teacher who have been briefed on how to follow on with the material the student is learning will be provided during the same timeslot.

Makeup Lesson Policy
All makeup classes (with 48 hour notice) are done in a 1 hour GROUP setting. We do not makeup private one on one classes that are missed by the student. The schedule for makeup classes will be posted online, where you can sign up for makeup sessions when a class is missed. Lessons are never "pushed back" (You can view our group makeup schedule on our website). We have online group makeup master classes on ZOOM as well.

Holidays and Studio Closings Policy
Our studio runs on a 48 week year. There is an average of 4 lessons per month. During holiday cancellations and closings (months with 3 lessons), the 4th lesson is made up during the months that there are 5 weeks (as we do not charge more for the months that there are 5 weeks, just the flat rate)

Door Buzzer/Child Pickup Policy
For the safety of our students and children, the main door to our studio is always locked from the outside. Please ring the bell and our receptionist will buzz you in. All children under 12 and under MUST be picked up by their parents after class is over. We do not allow children and students to walk home by themselves. If parents are running late, children are welcomed to wait in the lobby area of our studio.
