ABOUT THE GRANT
Education is a key pillar in our mission and thus we established this grant as a way to support the community. However, instead of giving a scholarship that will likely go straight to the college and/or future loans, we wanted to create an opportunity to help young Albanians bolster their resume TODAY. In particular, this grant should be given for one of two purposes*:
1) to support a student who is doing research (writing a capstone, thesis, journalism)**
or
2) to cover the costs of a self-designed civic-engagement project (for students and non-students)**
*We are open to other ideas as well but they must result in some type of project, product, or event that will benefit you and/or the community.
**bonus points given if focus of project is on the Albanian/Albanian-American community
How much is the grant?
We will ask you to submit a budget detailing how much money you need to a max of $1,500.
