St Joseph Catholic Schools Partnership Board Application
The Vitality in Catholic Education Visioning committee has evolved into an Implementation Committee to put in place their recommendations, including establishing a new organizational structure -St. Joseph Catholic School Partnership.
This new organization will be overseen by a school board of limited jurisdiction acting under the administrative jurisdiction of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph School Office.
The Board is responsible for the general operations of the Partnership to develop, formulate, and enact policies that guide the general operations of the new organization, including areas of Strategic Planning, Marketing and Public Relations, Development and Fundraising, Financial Review, and Professional Development of Principals and Teachers.
Members consists of individuals from the St Joseph community approved by the Bishop.
Board members will serve three (3) year terms. Candidates for the board must be willing and able to serve, committed to attending monthly meetings and being active on one or more subcommittees (which also meet monthly). Candidates should be good listeners, offer constructive input, handle conflicts of interest, while maintaining confidentiality as required.
Members of the Partnership Board are intended to be diverse and competent by representing the St. Joseph Catholic Community in terms of socio-economic, ethnicity, and occupations (legal, financial, operations, education, marketing, fundraising, etc.). The majority will be practicing Catholics, representing different parishes, including Catholic school alumni, and committed to long term viability of our school system.
We expect to have the newly appointed Board selected and in place by mid-December.
