Interested veterans are asked to submit an essay not to exceed more than 600 words in length through our web portal answering one or more of the following questions:
Are festivals important for our society? Why or why not?
What can the festival community at large do to better support our veterans?
What are some alternatives to “traditional” veteran support systems that you would like to see in place?
Submissions are open until the end of September. Essays will be reviewed by a panel of judges with the winners being notified no later than September 14th. The top ten essayists will receive a free weekend pass to the event. The top three essayists will be invited to speak on a special veterans panel during one of the break out sessions at Convergence.
We look forward to reading your essays!
