>>Every effort is made to give students their first elective choice. If a lower ranked elective is scheduled, it will be honored and no class changes will be made. Students are advised to select classes they would be interested in taking for an entire school year since first choice electives are not guaranteed.
>>Enriched English 9, Math Course 2, or a higher level course of Spanish or French, require a placement test. The articulation agreement between these districts and JUHSD specifies that math placement is determined by the 8th grade school using multiple measures such as test scores, teacher recommendation, and grades.
>>Due to its rigor, World Language is recommended for 9th grade students who have achieved at the C level or higher in English and for students who demonstrate a strong interest in studying another language.
