2025-2026 Abadie Academy 30a Waitlist
Please complete this form (separately for each child)  if you'd like to be contacted when we have openings available.

Abadie Academy is a nonprofit tutoring center/homeschool co-op. We serve students in K-8 Monday through Thursday from 8:30am-1:30pm. Our kids are generally grouped by K-1, 2nd-3rd (Blue Group), 4th-5th (Green Group), and 6th-8th (Pink Group) but we do not restrict our kids to a grade level. These groupings are flexible by age/ability/social development goals. Our kids rotate between content-specialized, FL certified teachers (background checked and CPR certified). We support and enrich the provided homeschool curriculum. We are not a private school or daycare. We do not provide grades. We do not have an attendance requirement. We do not assign homework. We supplement the base curriculum provided, and parents are encouraged to also work in them at home with their child. The parent remains the primary homeschool teacher; we just aim to make homeschooling feel more attainable for busy families. Parents are encouraged to review their child’s math and ELA curriculums frequently. Parents can also communicate with us through a daily planner or sticky note listing exactly what they expect their child to complete each day. We welcome and encourage parents to join us anytime any day! We will provide a portfolio of work at the end of the year. We expect a full year’s commitment at registration and require 30 days’ notice if your child will no longer be attending or if any changes need to be made to your invoice. There is an annual registration fee of $300 that includes access to STAR testing, science lab materials, and supplemental curriculum enrichment. Tuition is $900/month for 4-days a week and tuition is due on the 15th of the previous month. There is a $50 late fee for payments made between the 16th and 20th. After the 20th of the month, your spot will be offered to a student on our waitlist. We request monthly tuition payments be made by ACH/bank transfer when possible, to save us on credit card fees. Jeannine Abadie is also a direct provider for FES scholarships, but the parent is responsible for submitting reimbursement to them. Service dates are added to paid invoices by the 20th of the month for FES students who have provided an FES student ID number. FES recipients can go back through the email they paid and click “view invoice” to download the invoice with service dates on the 20th of each month and then upload that invoice to Step Up for their rei In terms of behavior and consequences, we expect all our students to be kind and respectful to their peers, their teachers, and our environment. We aim to de-escalate issues by speaking with the student calmly and privately to address any concerns. If behavior issues occur, the parent will be contacted. If the behavior is disrupting the environment for others, the parent will be asked to pick up the child immediately. We do not have “a principal’s office,” so we ask all our parents to support our behavior goals. We ask that you speak with your child about appropriate conversations within an educational environment. We reserve the right to remove any child from the program at any time. No early drop off: Teacher planning meetings will be held daily from 8-8:30am. Parent meeting times are available upon request Monday-Wednesday at 1:40pm. K-1: Our K-1st teacher combines a variety of reading and writing curriculums and activities differentiated at each child’s individual level. For math, we recommend Abeka workbooks that we supplement with other activities.
