Week of Musical Action: March 14-18, 2021
Building on the success of the Day of Musical Action, the Week of Musical Action is a multi-day music marathon featuring musical content created by members of our community who have been fundraising in support of our music education programs. The event will take place March 14-18 and students, parents, faculty, staff, and supporters are all invited to participate. Depending on the volume of registrants, we anticipate recital hours to occur between 4:00-8:00 PM each day.
Given the uncertain circumstances due to COVID-19 we are planning for this event to be primarily virtual. However, there maybe be opportunities for in-person performances, if it is safe to do so. If we are able to offer these opportunities, we will contact you.
PERFORMER GUIDELINES - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
In order to participate in the online event, we ask each participant to raise a minimum of $200 or more. Participants are welcome to make a $200 gift to the Center or raise $200 using our online fundraising platform, Classy. All funds raised will support the Center's music education programs.
Please discuss your participation in the Week of Musical Action with your teacher. S/he will help you choose a piece. Performance time may not exceed five minutes.
List the title and composer for your piece with your registration. If you do not know the name of the piece you would like to perform, please answer the "Name of Piece" question with TBD. You are welcome to submit this information later when uploading your video.
Once registered, a Kaufman Music Center staff member will be in touch with instructions on how to submit your performance video.
