Proposed Foundation Priorities
Nebraskans Unafraid is exploring the possibility of establishing a fundraising foundation to develop additional resources in order to work more effectively on behalf of those subjected to state violence.
We need your help in establishing the direction for this foundation, as well as to identify priority projects that would be funded.
Please use this form to tell us which of the initiatives (listed below) that you would be willing to support with a financial donation. The potential size of such a donation does not matter. It could be as little as $1.
If there is a priority that we have not listed here that you would support financially, please list in the "other" space provided at the end of the survey.
Thank you for taking the time to help us.
Listed below are proposed priorities that could be underwritten with resources developed by a fundraising foundation. Please select any and all that you would be willing to support with a financial donation.
Supporting the operations of Nebraskans Unafraid and FEARLESS.
Building a legal war chest to underwrite legal challenges to Nebraska's fear-mongering registry.
Providing microgrants to support people coming out of prison in finding housing and employment.
Providing microgrants to registered people to buy home safety equipment (cameras, monitoring services, legal personal protection items).
Delivering public education about how to create public policy that reduces sexual violence, and other forms of violence, in our communities.
Capital funds to underwrite a short-term housing facility where people coming out of prison can live in a dignified way that will foster their return to their communities as productive tax-paying citizens.
I would like to be included on the emailing list for additional information about the vision for a fundraising foundation. My name and email address are included here:
If a foundation is set up, I could help in the way described here. (Please provide a short description of your skill set).
