[Volunteer Recruitment] - World Para Swimming World Series with Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC)
Event: World Para Swimming World Series
Venue: OCBC Aquatic Centre
Time: 9am to 6pm (Exact shift timings will be listed in accordance to roles.)
Date: 7 - 12 May (Exact days will be listed in accordance to roles.)
*Volunteers may have to arrive slightly earlier before their shift on the event day and training will be provided for all volunteers.

Training Details: 4th May 2pm to 4pm @ OCBC Aquatic Centre

Minimum Age: Secondary School and Above (13 years and above)

Job Scope: Assist in the various roles listed below to ensure the event runs smoothly

Marshaling swimmers for their events: Assist in identifying swimmers who did not report to the call room, roll call of swimmers for their events, lining swimmers up in order of their events, and and guiding them from call room to deck, leading them to the starters once ready.

Manage basket operations: To help and handle the race operational duties such as athlete basket usage - ensure that competing swimmers deposit their accessories and belongings before entering the pool, safeguarding their properties, and ensure that they collect their items back after their event. You will be assigned additional duties by the Manager.

Distribute Start-lists & Results: Help officials to distribute the start-list and results to the team manager and participants and updating the result board.

Medal catchers & ceremonial ushers: Assist SDSC with the victory ceremonies.

Emcee: (as stated)

Music and audio assistant: Prepare playlists for entertainment and ceremonies, and manage the audio panel for speech and music and make sure the mic volume is optimal.

Protocol assistant: To assist the manager to ensure that the protocol is followed.

Way-finder ushers: Guide participants and spectators around the venue.

Security assistant: To check accreditation for entering the premises

Man entrance to Doping Control Room: To ensure that only people with the proper accreditation can enter the doping area.

Man information help-desk (AQC - OCBC Aquatic Centre): To provide information to the participants and public.

Man information help-desk (hotel): To provide information to the participants (Eg: How to get to the MRT, etc)

Event and Social Platform (Content Publishers) : Take Photos, conduct athlete interviews, posting content on SDSC's facebook and Instagram account. Preferred to have experience in posting on social media platforms.

Special Roles NEEDED:
Emcee assistant (3): coordinate cues with emcee and crew - 8.00am to 1.00pm, 4.00pm to 10.00pm (10-12 May) & Pre Event Practice on 5th May.

Videography assistants (2): help with crew requests, push feeds to online platforms, and monitor stable feed on live and online streaming - 8.00am to 1.00pm, 4.00pm to 10.00pm (10-12 May)

VIP assistants (2): to welcome, usher and attend to VIP requests - 4.00pm to 10.00pm (10-12 May)

Social media assistant (4): to receive and compile photos from photographers and generate posts on social media - 8.00am to 10.00pm (10-12 May) and Pre Event Practice on 5th May.

Press Liaison Assistant (2): To assist the press with any issues they might have - 9.00am to 1.00pm, 4.30pm to 8.30pm (10-12 May)

*For social media assistants and press liaison assistants, they are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to come on 7-9 May 8am to 6pm to get to know the athletes and have a better understanding of the event.

F&B crew (3): help in planning, procuring and distributing breakfasts to volunteers and officials, coordinate delivery and setup of lunch, and distribution of dinner to volunteers and officials.

(1 pax) 11.00am to 4.00pm (9 May)
(3 pax) 5am to 9am, 11am to 8pm (10 - 12 May)
*Lunch coordination will only require one person.
