Concept & Focus

a|v chemy explores the transmutation of sound and image — how visual and sonic elements interact, transform, and reveal hidden or overlooked patterns in our perception of society.

Rather than focusing solely on finished works, the series values:

  • experimentation and research-based practices
  • hybrid and interdisciplinary approaches
a|v chemy aims to expand ways of seeing and listening through diverse AV practices, while encouraging artists to reflect on perception, structure, and transformation.

We invite artists who:
  • work with sound, visual art, or their intersection
  • are interested in process, experimentation, and research
  • are open to sharing ongoing or evolving works, not only finalized pieces
  • engage critically or poetically with perception, technology, space, or society

Artists are encouraged to present works-in-progress, experimental formats, or process-based outcomes, and to contribute to a collective learning environment.

  • AV Performances

  • Screenings (Experimental video, film, or audiovisual works)
  • Workshops
Knowledge-sharing sessions focusing on tools, methods, concepts, or artistic processes related to audiovisual practice.
