Would you like to host a panel or workshop during Sci-Fi on the Rock 13? We're now open for applications for programming the weekend of March 29th to 31st at the Sheraton Hotel in St. John's and would like for you to apply!
As always, we're open to all kinds of things but it must fit within the general theme of Sci-Fi on the Rock, so please provide us some information in the below form to let us know what you'd like to do and we'll try to get you a slot in the schedule of events. Applications are open from January 1st to February 28th, 2019 and then we will review all of the applications and contact you via email let you know before March 15th if you have been selected to host a workshop or panel. We reserve the right to see your panel/workshop before allowing you to present it between March 20th - 25th and assess if changes need to be made (this is something more likely to happen to new presenters or presenters with new ideas). The panel/workshop would not have to be complete for this early assessment but enough work should be done for us to get a good sense of how and what will be presented.

Please note that submitting this application is meant solely as a programming request to be reviewed by the organizing committee and does not guarantee you a space in the schedule of events. Please be aware that we may need to limit the number of panelists and/or workshop badges per panel, and Presenters must be 18+ years of age in order to receive a Presenter Pass for your workshop or panel, if you are under 18 years of age you will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian to apply.
* The applying presenter or presenting organization is responsible for any damage to Sci-Fi on the Rock's equipment provided for use for the event. * Windows based PC computers will be provided for the presenter's use only with a projector and speaker system, some of the larger panel rooms will also have a microphone and speaker system to allow everyone to hear easily. These PC's will be pre-loaded with software for use and can accept most major presentation and media formats, please only bring a USB drive to display your presentation in a common-use format. If you have any questions as to the use of this equipment or software please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for technical assisstance. * Flash photography is not allowed, videography and photography are subject to approval by the convention committee and the panel/workshop presenter(s), please be respectful of your fellow attendees. * Please be aware of any copyright or trademarks you may be using during your presentation and please do not present/distribute/display copyrighted works without prior authorization or correct agreements in place as this could result in being evicted/banned from the convention presently, in the future and at affiliated events. * I understand that this should be aimed at a GENERAL AUDIENCE. Submissions with content or discussions involving graphic, extreme or excessive violence, gore (make-up sessions can be permitted); eroticism, hentai, explicit sexuality or other pornographic material, and full frontal nudity will not be considered.
