Writers in Schools - Book Discussion with a Youth Author Presented by: Shout Mouse Press + PEN/Faulkner Writers in Schools
Writers in Schools (WinS) provides FREE books to students written by youth writers in grades 4-12. From illustrated picture books to essays, graphic novels, and a collaborative novel, youth voices shine in these books. When available, the youth writers visit classrooms to engage with students on the creative process and what it's like to publish a book. The visit culminates with a group author photo and a book signing. For a list of available books/authors, please email email@example.com.
Length of Program: 1 day; Visits can accommodate most class periods and up to 30 students at a time; book clubs; or other school-based sessions. Other educators should inquire about availability.
