In honour of our organ donors, their recipients and those waiting for a life saving transplant, we want to raise awareness through encouraging people to make their decision regarding organ donation and share this with their loved ones....so....

We challenge you to 'Join the Journey' with the North West Organ Donation Team as we 'Race for Recipients'.

The aim is to achieve a distance that equates to the number of people who are currently waiting for a life saving transplant in the UK, 1 mile per person. This is currently around 7000 people so 7000 miles is the goal!

The distance can be accumulated through walking, running, hiking, swimming, rowing, cycling, static equipment etc….. Anything really…just being active and raising awareness through posting your activity all over social media!

The challenge will be active from Saturday 18th September 06:00hrs until Midnight Sunday 26th September.

We want to give EVERYONE the opportunity to be involved!!!
You do not have to enter as a team - when you register you will affiliate yourself with a team or a community.

Your level of fitness is not important as every single step taken as part of this challenge represents a person waiting for a life saving organ transplant and the generosity of our organ donors and their families.

The miles could be generated walking the dog, doing the school run or just walking round the supermarket - no matter how you achieve your personal distance make sure you log it so we can achieve our goal and most importantly - share your involvement across all social media platforms and encourage everyone to be involved!

Completing this form will register your interest and support for the challenge.

Below, You are asked to affiliate yourself with ONE organisation or community.
There is then an option to give further details about who you are representing, ie your hospital/department, a donor family, a transplant recipient, a charity, sports group or business etc. This extra information is not mandatory - your affiliation with an organisation or community is enough.
Please do enter any team names too so that we can celebrate your miles!
