The HBCU Scholarship Ride was established to financially assist students from Newark, New Jersey, to raise awareness in realizing their aspirations of attending A Historically Black College University (HBCU). In acknowledging the unique challenges that students face, the HBCU Scholarship Ride Foundation bridges the gap between a deserving student's desire and their ability to fulfill the student’s monetary obligations.

This annual 225+ mile journey from Newark, NJ to Washington, D.C. is more than a cycling event—it’s a movement to raise critical scholarship funds and support the next generation of HBCU leaders.

Before you begin, please review the following:

  - Each participant is expected to raise a minimum of $2,500 in support of HBCU-bound students.

  - An initial non-refundable $100 application fee is required via GoFundMe by June 14, 2025.

  - Riders must meet deposit milestones and adhere to all safety, training, and gear requirements.

  - Completion of this form does not guarantee participation. Space is limited and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
