Virtual Reality Store Registration, a program Virginia Cooperative Extension, Arlington & Alexandria
Thank you for your interest in Virtual Reality Store, a program Virginia Cooperative Extension. We are excited to partner with you for our youth financial simulation, where 6th - 12 graders, learn the importance of needs versus wants, and plan their budget based on what their life may look like at age 26.
The “Reality Store” is a real world money management simulation activity designed specifically for preteens/teens. In this simulation activity, youth are introduced to concepts such as making wise financial decisions, considering costs and benefits, using mathematical applications in real life situations, balancing a budget and a bank account, exploring career choices and education, and understanding how lifestyle decisions affect an individual's finances. The purpose of this activity is to help youth become more aware of the financial demands they will encounter in the "real" world.
