Please make sure you read the application carefully and fill out all of the information to the best of your ability.

Applications close December 16th at 5 pm Central US Time. Acceptances will go out December 30th.

Ticketed Play Compensation
All staff members will receive a 3-Day Production badge for MagicCon: Chicago 2025 in addition to:
  • Setup / Teardown
    $250
  • Customer Experience, Back of House, Prize Wall and Floor Judge 
    $250/day
  • Scorekeeper, and Community Team
    $300/day
  • Team Lead 
    $375/day
  • Area Management Positions
    $425/day
  • TO Assistant Team
    $475/day

Payments and contracts may be processed by either Pastimes Events or FanFinity
Hotel Stipend and Travel Assistance
All travel assistance and hotel stipends will be added to your compensation payment at the end of the event.
 
Hotel Stipend - All Staff 
Each staff member will receive $175 per day worked. Staff members working 3 or more shifts receive an additional $175.

Ticketed Play Travel Assistance
There are levels of travel assistance available for this event. This assistance is to facilitate the unique needs of this event and to help staff with difficult travel needs. Up to $1000 of individual travel assistance is available.  The Pro Tour has a separate travel scheme.  
The Pro Tour 
There will be less than 30 people on staff for this portion of the event. There are specific applications for Appeals Judge, and Floor Judge for this portion of MagicCon: Chicago 2025.
 
Applying for non-PT roles does NOT disqualify you from working the PT. Filling out the rest of this application is necessary even if you intending to only apply for the PT. 

This tournament will have a separate compensation/travel scheme, break structure, and be staffed to accommodate it's unique needs. 
Staff Appreciation and Educational Summit
Staff Appreciation Package
All staff members will receive an appreciation package of items special to the event. Additionally, Sunday night after the event has wrapped up there will be a staff party and all staff are invited! Games, food, and fun to celebrate being a part of Magic's history.

Tournament Staff Educational Summit
Monday after the event there will be a Tournament Staff Educational Summit. This will be a full day of workshops, panels, lectures and activities. This event will focus on multiple aspects of tabletop tournament craft such as judging, scorekeeping, customer service, and back of house logistics. This event will require registration. More details coming soon!!

Communication
Staff must have internet access and commit to regularly reading our staff Discord. We use our Discord as our primary method of communication.
