WHAT: We, Life/Art Dance Ensemble, began producing "Convergence" in 2015 with a simple goal: provide a cost-effective way for us and other local choreographers to get their work on a stage and pool our resources, including audiences. Having produced the show in both 2015 and 2017, we are proud to present the revitalized plan for 2019.We'll be continuing the basic model of past years: choreographers/companies pay in a self-selected amount (min $100), which determines what your share of the proceeds will be.* This percentage of buy-in should also loosely correlate to stage time. More details are on the application form.
WHO: We are looking for local choreographers of any style, affiliated with companies of any size/model or unaffiliated with a company, whose primary medium is dance and whose dancers are at a professional level. Emerging and established choreographers welcome. Selections will be based on creativity, professional quality, and variety and cohesion of the show overall. All dancers participating must be 18 or older, and show content is not censored (i.e. not kid-friendly is okay).
*Please note, dancers are not provided, so if you are an independent choreographer, you are responsible for finding your own dancers, if applicable.

Cost/Income:*Amount of return not guaranteed, but our previous Convergence production in 2015 garnered a 216% return, and in 2017 it was 215%. We believe this number could be even higher with more groups and individuals working together. Life/Art Dance Ensemble will handle all fiscal transactions with the utmost transparency and integrity. A small marketing budget will be included in the total cost of the show to be split among participants. Your assistance in distributing materials will help bring larger audiences to the performances.
