The STEMteachersNYC Scholarhips is dedicated to supporting STEM teachers who are passionate about science and math education. Educators like Patrick Wanninkhof were committed to bringing high-quality science education to students from all backgrounds, and he recognized that many challenges in this work could be seen as learning opportunities. He often asked his students to “Try Again. Fail Again. Fail Better.” In no more than 400 words , please relate this “Fail Better” idea to challenges and opportunities that you have faced in your own classroom. Describe a specific experience from your teaching that illustrates the idea of challenges as learning opportunities, as well as what you took away from the experience to inform your practice. * *
