CEO of the Year Nomination

This award recognizes a creative, innovative, and determined CEO of a Colorado-based organization who drives the vibrancy of the Colorado tech economy beyond their business and has overcome obstacles to lead their organization to success. CEOs from all organizations sizes are eligible.

All nominations must be submitted via this electronic form, and once submitted, all nominations are final. Your award nomination must be submitted by Wednesday November 19. 


Eligibility: 

1. Nominees must be a Colorado resident and/or a Colorado business with a significant physical presence in Colorado. 

2. Nominees for CEO, Technology Leader & CISO of the year awards must be in their current role for at least 1 year.

3. Nominees for Emerging Tech Company must have been in operation for less than five years, while nominees for Company of the Year must have been operating for more than five years.

4. Previous winners are not eligible to win. Previous nominees and finalists are encouraged to submit a nomination again. 

5. Self-nominations are welcome. 

6. Finalists are expected to make themselves available for the video/photo shoot in January (date TBA) and attend the awards program on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

7. Nominations are due Wednesday, November 19 by 5:00pm MST. 

8. Individuals and organizations from the public sector, private sector, and consulting firms are eligible to apply, provided they meet the criteria above.

General Judging Criteria: 

  1. Visionary Leadership – Guides the organization with strategic foresight and drives innovation, growth, or transformation.

  2. Business Impact – Achieves meaningful business outcomes through strategic decision-making, operational excellence, or transformative results that advance the organization’s goals.

  3. Impact on People and Culture – Cultivates a values-driven culture that inspires teams, empowers others, and creates access to opportunity and growth.

  4. Community & Industry Influence – Supports Colorado’s tech ecosystem and helps position it as a national leader.

CTA's panel of judges are looking for well thought-out, detailed nominations that showcase accomplishments over time and in the past year. Nominations lacking these components are less likely to be considered for finalist and/or winner designations. We recommend collaborating directly with your nominee to provide quality information. 

TIPS: Draft your answers to the essay questions in a separate text document and be concise. Please note that there is a 2,000 word count limit for your answers. Once finalized, you can then copy/paste the info into this form for submission. We strongly advise against composing the answers to the essay questions live in the online form.
