WHAT IS DALCROZE?
The Dalcroze Eurhythmics class is lively and spontaneous class. The class will involve moving, singing, and playing. Some eurhythmic exercises require coordination and concentration, others stimulate the imagination.
Still others encourage good ensemble as well as the skills required to read and play music. When we really live the music through the whole body, we are enabled to invent and play our own music alone or with others.
Every child has the potential for musical enjoyment, and the eurhythmics class is organized with the following goals: * to develop attention, concentration, self control and memory * to enhance perception of body and space * to provide social interaction * to improve balance and coordination * to expand imagination, sensitivity, nuance and originality, *and to promote relaxation.
