The Midwifery Initiative
RI Certified Midwifery Equity is an initiative to promote expanding equity within all THREE Licensed Midwifery professions: Certified Professional Midwifery (CPM), Certified Nurse Midwifery (CNM),  and Certified Midwifery (CM). 

Eligibility Requirements for Consideration: 
  • Must be a Rhode Island resident for at least ONE full calendar year 
  • New applicant for the initiative (prior accepted applicants are ineligible)
  • CNM track applicants must have RN degree for at least 2 years (preference with LDR experience)
  • Prerequisites support for CPM and CM track only
