Florida Association of Science Teachers (FAST) Conference Travel Grants
Conference Travel Grants for teachers to attend our Annual Conference are available.
K-12 teachers may apply. The grant application must be received by September 15th.  Recipients of the grant will be notified by the end of September of their selection. They will be required to submit a write-up on their FAST sessions and workshop experiences, along with their receipts for reimbursement no later than November 30th. The FAST Treasurer will send a check to each recipient upon receipt of ALL required materials. You must be an active member of FAST to apply for the grants.  You can check on and/or update your membership on the website: www.fastscience.org. Ten grants will be given out as long as criteria has been met. Our goal is to promote science education in Florida.

Who May Apply
- Current member  of the Florida Association of Science Teachers (FAST)
- Any full time FAST classroom teacher currently certified and teaching in Florida
- Teachers with less than 5 years teaching experience will be given preference
- Current FAST board members and past recipients of this grant are not eligible
Cost
Each recipient will be reimbursed up to $400 after the conference. This will help cover the cost of registration, room, and transportation to attend the conference. Any amount over the grant award incurred by the recipient will be at their own expense. It is hoped that if additional funding is necessary, the recipient may seek support from their principal or district. This grant cannot be used to cover a substitute.
