Language Access Project Volunteer
LAP volunteers to help translate legal information and resources on, California's statewide public resource for FREE legal referrals and self-help information on a variety of legal issues including family law, housing, employment, consumer/small claims, disability, domestic violence, civil rights, public benefits, and immigration law, among many others.

LAP's goal is to translate into as many different languages as possible. The goal of LAP is to increase access to justice by providing Californians with the information and resources they need to tackle their legal problems head on. Improving language access in the court system and providing equal access to legal information is a component of this mission.

All law students who are fluent in another language are welcome— no previous legal experience is necessary. Students are expected to commit to 20 hours over the course of the semester.
