Temporary Non Profit Space Rules and Regulations
• Even if you have participated in the past, you must complete an application for 2017.• Nonprofit and other public or private entities deemed fitting by the First Friday staff will be assigned booth space on a case by case basis. Spaces are very limited. Nonprofits with a strong membership base or involvement in Canton and those with educational outreach related to the arts will be given priority spots. • The space is intended to be an information and awareness booth, with an engaging arts activity such as children’s activity or art exhibit. ArtsinStark/First Friday can suggest artists-in-residence for hire who can assist with this requirement. Coloring pages will not be accepted as an arts activity this year. • Fundraising efforts (such as raffle tickets, water, and t-shirt sales) are not permitted. There is no charge for a nonprofit space.• Your activity must take place within your 10x10 space. No dance or music may take place at these booths. • Spaces must be requested by the third Friday of each month. Space can be requested for multiple months at a time. • If you reserve a space and are not able to attend, you must call and cancel this space so that it is available for another group. Last minute cancellation or a no show will affect your participation in future months. THIS INCLUDES WEATHER CANCELLATION. We produce this event monthly, all year, rain or shine. • Acceptance of application is subject to approval by ArtsinStark and the downtown Canton Special Improvement District and is based on appropriateness of group and space available. Approval is for your entire application. • A set up map with your location will be sent in an e-mail no later than three days before the event. Please make sure to include a valid e-mail address for the person in charge of handling First Friday coordination. • Nonprofit Permit provides a 10x10 space only. All tents, tables, extension cords etc are all provided by the nonprofit group. Please note that electricity is not guaranteed, but will be provided if possible.
