Approaching the milestone of sending your little one to school for the first time can feel daunting, and our Preschool Readiness program is here to make that transition as smooth as possible. This program has been designed by our occupational therapists and speech-language therapists to support both you and your little learner.

Research has proven the power of play and repetition to foster learning, which is why our program revolves around meaningful themes that change monthly. In July, we're exploring day and night; and in August, we'll be discovering the animal kingdom. Each monthly theme will focus on a shape, a color, and an educational concept (like on and off, and up and down); while utilizing beloved books and songs, and simple sign language.

Our program is carefully crafted to target fundamental skills essential for preschool readiness. Through a blend of interactive play-based activities, we focus on:

Smooth transitioning away from caregivers
Color recognition
Shape recognition
Spatial concepts (e.g. on and off, up and down, etc)
Enjoying snack time together
Mastering management of school essentials like backpacks, taking shoes on and off, lunch boxes

Alongside our sessions, you'll receive helpful handouts for the monthly theme packed with tips and tricks to reinforce the skills we're working on. Plus, we're offering complimentary 15-minute feedback sessions to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.

With a therapist-to-child ratio of 1:4, we aim to provide attention and care for your little one throughout the program. So, take the leap with us and give your child a head start!

I understand that Cayman Theraplay is an inclusive practice but if I do not accurately disclose my child's needs and my child requires 1:1 assistance to learn in the group, the therapist will be unable to provide the needed support.
