191cm freshman tall guard is already looking forward to it
Seok Jun-hwi (G, 191cm), a freshman at Korea University, started the 2024 KUSF College Basketball U-League match against Myongji University at Myongji University's Nature Campus Gymnasium, and played on the court for 24 minutes, helping Korea win its fifth consecutive game (93-61) with 10 points, two rebounds and six assists.

After the game ended, Seok said, "It's supposed to be a 5 o'clock game, but it was hard to warm up as I played at 2 o'clock (laughs). It's the weekend again. I think it was hard because I didn't get out of breath in the beginning of the game. But I'm glad the result wasn't bad."

The college league had a brief break period for the students' midterm exam period. Since then, the league has resumed, starting with Myongji Daejeon.

"During that period, I trained as usual and took midterms. I didn't prepare much differently than usual," Seok said.

A freshman from Anyang High School, Seok is a 191-centimeter-tall guard, and boasts fast speed and penetration. He also played at the 2023 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in Hungary last year. As soon as he entered the university, he became the starting player, receiving plenty of time to play. In all five games Korea University played, he averaged 10.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.

This is drawing attention from many basketball fans. Seok said, "If I don't feel pressured, I'll lie (laughs). Even if I feel pressured, I'm playing with the mindset that I should do what I wanted to do. The older members are also helping me a lot, and I'm working hard."

He is already showing his presence, but he also had some regrets. Seok Joon-hui said, "I don't see reckless play like I did in high school. The older brothers and the coaches give me a lot of confidence, but I think it's a little difficult because I'm still a freshman."

Finally, Seok said, "I still have a lot of games to play. I'm only thinking about winning my team. After that, my play has to come out. I will continue to grow even harder."
