Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Hope Haven.  We are excited for your help!  The animals will be so happy you’re here!

Please read these important rules and regs before completing the application:

*  Volunteers MUST BE 18 years old or older. (Our insurance policy required this.)

*  A commitment of at least TWO (2) SHIFTS PER MONTH is required of all on-site volunteers.  
You’d like to come more often?  We would love for you to take as many shifts as you’d like, but two per month is the minimum.

* Shifts are approximately two hours.

*  Shift schedules vary and depend upon lead volunteer availability.

* We request that you to visit the Sanctuary in some capacity (tour, event, open volunteer day) BEFORE you fill out this application and commit to volunteering.  If you’ve never visited, how do you know you will even enjoy volunteering here?

Please complete the form below.  Once your application is received you will be contacted by the Hope Haven volunteer coordinator to schedule your orientation.  Volunteer orientations are held on the first Sunday of the month (May-October).

No worries!  We will be offering “open” volunteer work days throughout the season (May through November)!  
No commitment, no orientation, and no application needed!

Just follow us on our social media pages (FB, IG, Twitter) to find out when the open work days are scheduled, sign up, and come on out!

I have accurately and truthfully completed this volunteer application and agreement and understand that HHFS can refuse my application for any reason. If this application is accepted: (1) I will abide by the mission, rules, regulations, policies, and programs of HHFS while I am a volunteer. If I stop being a volunteer for HHFS, or upon their request at any time, I will promptly return all HHFS supplies, records, money, and other items. (2) I affirm that no legal charge for animal abuse has even been made against me or any member of my immediate family. I also affirm that I have never been sanctioned or reprimanded by an animal rescue group or shelter for mistreatment of animals. (3) I assume the risk of being injured by animals in conjunction with my volunteer work for HHFS. HHFS is not liable to me for any injuries, damages, liabilities, losses, judgments, costs or expenses whatsoever, which I might suffer or sustain in connection with the performance of my voluntary activities for HHFS, unless they are the result of HHFS's gross negligence or intentional misconduct. I indemnify, defend and hold HHFS harmless from and against any claims, lawsuits, injuries, damages, losses, costs, or expenses whatsoever, sustained by any performance of volunteer activities for HHFS, or my breach of HHFS's rules, regulations, policies, and programs.
