Request to Store Non-ESS Project Data in ESS-DIVE
ESS-DIVE is the DOE's Environmental Systems Science (ESS) program's central data repository. All data generated by a project funded through the ESS program is automatically authorized to be published on ESS-DIVE.

If your data is not generated through ESS program funding, you will need approval to store this data on ESS-DIVE. Please fill out this form to request access to store data on ESS-DIVE. Your request will be reviewed by the ESS program managers and it will be evaluated based on whether the project data is (a) relevant to the ESS mission and (b) appropriate to store on ESS-DIVE. Please provide as much detail as you can.

Data storage requests can take 1-2 weeks to process, we recommend allowing time for this step in your data management plan.

To find out if your project is an authorized ESS project, please visit ESS-DIVE's project list: https://data.ess-dive.lbl.gov/projects

If your project is on the list, fill out the New Data Contributor Form (https://bit.ly/ess-dive-new-contributor) to get started. For more information, read through our new user documentation (https://docs.ess-dive.lbl.gov/new-user-registration).
