These signatures are in support of the request made by the Dred Scott Heritage Foundation in 2015 to remember the 14th Amendment’s 150th anniversary in 2018 by issuing a stamp with the likeness of the man Dred Scott.  This amendment, often called the Dred Scott Amendment, in effect, overturned the Dred Scott Decision.  We would be most pleased to have a stamp of the man whose eleven year court battle helped bring civil rights to all people in America.  Aside from this item being a great addition for any stamp collector, even more, it would also be an excellent teaching tool in the schools and in the home.  (New website: www.dredscottlives.org and the live archived site: www.thedredsscottfoundation.org).
