Names for February 14, 21, and 28, 2026, Saturday of Souls Memorial Liturgy
The Orthodox Church teaches us that those who have fallen asleep are not dead but still alive in Christ Jesus! Therefore, in its very essence, prayer for the dead is a proclamation of the Resurrection of Christ. This is a central recurring theme for the Saturday of the Souls. It is, therefore, imperative for us, the living, to remember our loved ones who have passed on and to pray that the Lord accepts them into His heavenly kingdom.
You have two options to submit the names of your departed loved ones to be commemorated:

A)   electronically, by filling out the form below,
B)   in writing when you attend liturgy in person.

If you submit your names electronically, you don't have to re-submit them in writing when you attend liturgy in person. Fr. John will commemorate them on all three Saturdays.

Matins begin at 8:30 AM, and we ask that you bring your koliva (memorial wheat) and printed names to church no later than 9 AM on Saturday. Ushers on duty will be available to assist you.

If you do not make your own koliva, a lady in our parish, Dea Papadopoulos, can make them for you. Please call her at (267) 730-0030.

We will share a coffee fellowship hour after the liturgy.

On Saturday, February 14, Fr. John will offer graveside trisagion prayers at Lawnview Cemetery at 11:30 AM and Whitemarsh Memorial Park at 1 PM.
