Man of the Year – The person recognized as MAN OF THE YEAR should be a leader both on campus and within the community, either in Atlanta or his home. He should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and embody the mystique of Morehouse College.

Faculty and Staff of the Year – The men and women of this category have touched the lives of students at their respective institutions. Persons in this category can range from professors to administrative assistants, campus police to the janitorial service, or cafeteria workers to divisional deans.

The Hall of Fame – Members of this category must have demonstrated consistent leadership throughout their time at their institution, and must have maintained a GPA of a 3.0 or higher. Members of the category must be graduating seniors.

The Activists – Members of this category must have demonstrated a keen interest in a social issue. They have dedicated their life and collegiate career to educating others about their issue of choice and impacting both the college and greater community. Persons from any classification may be present in this category.

The Artisans – Members of this category must have demonstrated mastery of an artistic field and displayed it for the college’s enjoyment. Art includes, but is not limited to, painting, spoken word, dance, singing, playing an instrument, etc. Persons from any classification may be present in this category.

Sartorial Excellence – Members of this category exemplify being “well dressed” the best. They often determine the standard for fashion on campus and/or the AUC. People in this category make the clothes; the clothes don’t make them. Students from any classification can be represented in the category.

The Entrepreneurs – Members of this category have established flourishing businesses in and outside of the Atlanta University Center. This category can include clothing lines and stores, jewelry companies, authors, etc. Persons from any classification may be present in this category.

The Intellectuals – Members of this category demonstrate keen intellectual ability. GPA withstanding, these students increase the scholarly dialogue and academic prowess of the institution. Persons from any classification may be present in this category.

The Juggernauts – Members of this category can come from any athletic organization associated with their college and are the stand out athletes on campus. Those identified should meet, if not exceed, the student standards required of them by their sport’s association. Persons from any classification may be present in this category.

The Titans – The College must classify students in this category as seniors. Within their time at the institution, they must have demonstrated effective and transformative leadership within their class. They should be deemed an integral part of their class and have transcended their class to be impactful within the greater AUC community.

The Establishment – The College must classify students of this category as juniors. Within their time at the institution, they must have demonstrated effective and transformative leadership within their class. They should be deemed an integral part of their class and have transcended their class to be impactful within the greater AUC community.

The New Guard – The College must classify students in this category as sophomores. Within their time at the institution, they must have demonstrated effective and transformative leadership within their class. They should be deemed an integral part of their class and have transcended their class to be impactful within the AUC community.

The Future – The College must classify students of this category as freshmen. Within their first and only year, they must have demonstrated effective and transformative leadership within their class. They should be deemed an integral part of their class and have transcended their class to be impactful within the greater AUC community.

The Scientists – Members of this category have mastered their particular focus within the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Persons from any classification may be present in this category.

The Wayfarers – Members of this category are known to be “well traveled” among the student body. They have served in multiple capacities representing the institution and student body. Students from any classification can be represented in the category.

Woman of The Year – The women in this category have complimented the lives of Men of Morehouse since their calling to the Atlanta University Center. They have helped to boost the morale of the Men of Morehouse both on and off campus.
