Practicing Complexity is an opportunity to practice feeling into contradiction safely while being held in community and supported by two experienced somatic facilitators. We invite you to explore this liminal space with us, to embrace the unknowns together.
Join us for an afternoon of somatic practice in these times of a heightened presidential election and polycrisis of people and planet. An intentionally multiracial space, we will hold our various identities and positionalities with tenderness as we practice together in the complexity of a racialized society. Through somatics, dance, song, self-directed touch, restorative yoga, and ritual elements we will nurture our connections to our bodies, land, and each other, and center in embodied values-based practice.
We will meet from 1-4 pm in downtown Ypsilanti. Location will be provided after we confirm your registration.
We aim to design a very intentional space, so this "application" will help you and us make sure this workshop is the right fit for you.

SLIDING SCALE: The price range for this workshop is $10-100 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. At the end of the form is some information that will help you decide how much to pay.
ACCESS INFO: The workshop will take place on the 3rd floor of a building that unfortunately does not have an elevator. We are sorry for this. Stay tuned for future workshops; we will be using different locations.
COVID PROTOCOL: Transmission is still high. Our expectations are that (1) you will not come if you have symptoms and (2) you will test the morning of and bring a photo of the test to the workshop. Everyone will be at individual choice to mask. As the facilitators, we plan to not mask. Doing this relational work, we feel it is important that you be able to see at least our faces. If you need to cancel for illness you will be refunded 50%.
