AUDITIONS:
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate all children. Space limitations and maintaining a safe learning environment for all (both onstage and backstage) dictates the number of children accepted into the program. March 26th is the audition day (specific time slots are announced later). Various professional staff members will adjudicate in three areas (singing, dance and acting). Audition songs are provided by BBC; there is no need to provide your own song. Audition day is fun and friendly as possible.
Auditions help predict children who will thrive in a fast-paced theater camp. If your child follows directions, has good focus and confidence performing it will show! For our older, more experienced campers auditions also reveal where your child has blossomed over the past year. BBC is special because we use an original script that can accommodate beginning performers and those who are professional already! Finally, this process reflects the real life scenario for all performers; to be cast in shows you must audition. This day is a valuable learning experience in itself; helping young performers gain experience auditioning.
