Petition: DENY CU 2360 - Royal Farms (24 x 7) Conditional Use in AR-1, Coastal Area at Rt 24 and Angola Rd Intersection

This application is for a 24x7 gas station, a convenience store, and a car wash on a 3.5 acre site on a steep hill overlooking Sarah Run, which runs to Burton Prong, when then runs to Rehoboth Bay. The site is adjacent to the 117-acre Wellhead Protection Area, which is the drinking water source for many communities.

Our main concerns are:

* Traffic - as a destination in the Angola area with 2-lane curvy road

* Drinking Water Source Contamination Risk

* Inland Bays Water Contamination Risk

* Safety - EMS/Fire and Crime

* Fire danger

We would welcome various types of businesses at this site that would not be operated 24x7, not involve tanker trucks and many delivery trucks, and do not pose any contamination risks to our drinking water and Inland Bays.
