Request for Audition

Dear Prospective Chorus Member:

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Grace Chorale of Brooklyn! Donna Epstein, Amy Fontaine, Jean Kahler, and Brook Gesser make up GCB's Membership Committee. We will be scheduling auditions for our 2019 Spring season in early March; Auditions take place just before our 7pm rehearsal on March 13 and 20 between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Please complete the questionnaire below to let us know which time slot works for you, and we will schedule your audition.

You do not need to prepare anything or bring music; our music director, Jason Asbury, will test you on range, pitch and the ability to hold harmony. It's great if you can sight-read but not at all essential. The audition will take about 5 minutes and is very low-pressure.

Our rehearsal and audition space is at Grace Church in Brooklyn Heights. The address is 254 Hicks Street, between Joralemon and Grace Court. Enter the building on Hicks Street, and head up the stairs to the rehearsal space. We will send you additional information on logistics once the date and time are confirmed.

After your audition, we ask that you be prepared to sit in on the rehearsal so you can get an idea of how we work.

Dues are $136 for the semester and includes the music fees and three complimentary tickets to the concert that takes place on May 19.

We look forward to meeting you. If you have any questions, please email us at auditions@gracechorale.org.
