Note: We work to strengthen our region’s food system, build community food security, and preserve our culinary heritage.. Your application will be reviewed based on the alignment with the SFHV mission.
Which grant option best fits your project?
All grant options offer a maximum of $500.
Biodiversity - assists farmers with the cultivation and promotion of "Ark of Taste" or heirloom varieties and/or heritage breeds to encourage farmers to explore niche product offerings, enabling farmers to better distinguish themselves.
Potluck - support for organizations hosting an event that encourages food system collaboration or celebrates food traditions and culture.
Community Engagement - any project that supports community action toward our mission of strengthening our regional food system.

Respond to SFHV communication within 48 hours (unless extenuating circumstances).
Submit a reflection on and summary of your project by commenting on each of your listed goals and outcomes by December 1, 2016
Share Project "lessons learned" at Local Food Summit 2017 (with access to a presentation, poster, booth, etc.)
Take and share photos with us, agree to be featured in Slow Food media and communication
