The Sheila Hollie Memorial Scholarship is available to residents of the Greenway neighborhood in Fort Worth for undergraduate education or technical schooling beyond high school. It is in memory of Sheila Hollie, who was a long-time resident of the Greenway neighborhood and a board member and active participant in the 6:8 Project. Candidates interested in applying for the Sheila Hollie Scholarship need to apply in writing or online, using this application.
Requirements:
- Only residents of the Greenway neighborhood in Fort Worth are eligible to apply.
- Scholarship is only available for undergraduate education or technical schooling beyond high school. The scholarship is available to students who are currently taking classes as well as students who are applying to such institutions.
An independent committee nominated by the 6:8 Project Board of Directors will evaluate - the potential success of each student applicant and
- the potential need and impact of the scholarship funds based on the information given in the application and subsequently verified.
Scholarship recipients will be notified of their selection and award amount as soon as possible. The amount of the award and the number of awards given will depend on the available funds and the quality of the applications. Scholarships will be evaluated and awarded periodically, with payments made directly to the college or technical school. The due date for this submission is December 1.
