is dedicated to continuing the long history of supporting local non-profits in the Gilroy Community through a series of local fundraising events. The funds raised are then given back to our community through a grant process. Local nonprofit organizations are able to apply for needed funds through this grant application.
Candidates for this grant should be:
- A non-profit organization based in Gilroy or the surrounding area.
- Must have volunteered at the Gilroy Garlic Festival or for the GGFA in the past (including non-festival events such as the Drive Thru, Rodeo or Pasta Party).
- Awardees of this grant must submit evidence (testimonials, photos etc.) of how the funds were used by completing a GGFA form that will be provided with the grant award (due no later than Spring of 2025). If such evidence is not submitted, the organization will not be eligible for future grants.
Grant Funding: $500 to $5000 per application per year with grant awards being presented at our award ceremony on October 17th, 2024.
Timeline: Applications must be submitted using this form or by downloading and emailing the PDF application to the GGFA by 9:00 PM PST, September 20th, 2024 to grants@gilroygarlicfestival.com
**Please note that Organizations that are involved in promoting Gilroy as a visitor destination or are promoting the business community of Gilroy are considered supporters of the GGFA as part of their overall mission and therefore would not be considered for this award.
