In a time of great institutional transition and cultural turbulence, Contemplative Action Groups seek to provide a compassionate, creative, and engaging space for church leaders to explore the unique way they are being called to live out the Christian life.
Each group meets for twelve, sixty-minute sessions within a facilitated covenant group with the goal of providing:
Regular space for rest, prayer, and friendship
A safe place to explore personal growth and healing
A community of care and accountability for living out one’s vocation
Spiritual practices that can be integrated within daily life
A contemplative space for discerning compassionate action
Support in responding to God’s presence, call, and activity in the world
This particular cohort is intended for church leaders (lay or ordained) serving in rural communities.* This might include church staff, vestry or church council members, clergy, worship leaders, and other congregational volunteers. Anyone seeking to revive their commitment to service in the church and in the world is welcome to join.
Please submit this form to express interest in the 12-week cohort meeting on Thursdays from 11:30am- 12:30pm (Pacific Time) beginning on January 25, 2024. The facilitator will contact you to confirm your enrollment.
