New Tutor Application for Fall 2025
Lakeland STARs tutors will work with 1st – 5th grade students from nearby Paint Branch Elementary School to enrich their academic experience. Tutors will be matched one-on-one with a PBES student and meet at Centreville Hall from 3:30 PM - 5:45 PM on a designated day (Wednesday or Thursday) throughout the semester.

NOTE that if you are selected as a tutor, you will have a mandatory New Tutor Orientation. More details will be sent out.
If you are interested in fulfilling your program's practicum or capstone requirements, you must be a tutor for a whole academic year. Your practicum activity will take place in the subsequent spring semester. If you have any questions, please email the Lakeland STARs Team at lakelandstars@umd.edu.
