Handles, Lids and Stamps with Karen Hall
This 3 day workshop will have you refining your handles, throwing jars and lids and making custom stamps of your own design.

January 27, 29 and 31 5:30 to 7:30

Non-Members $80.00 + $40.00 for clay
Members $60.00 + clay

Class 1 (Monday) Karen will demonstrate how to throw a covered jar and lid as well as a one piece jar that will be cut when leather hard to become a covered jar. She will also demonstrate hand built handles. There will be class time for you to work at these techniques with Karen's guidance.

Class 2 (Wednesday) will be spent on trimming your jars, attaching a handle, cutting the one piece jar, with a demonstration on how to throw a knob on a jar.

Class 3 (Friday) you will make your set of stamps, along with a demonstration of pulling handles off of pots.

Prerequisite - Completion of the Beginner Throwing on the Wheel. Student must know how to centre and throw a cylinder.

The class fee must be paid in full. No refunds will be given. Fees subject to change. Minimum age to participate is 18 years old.

Bring to class: Bring a notebook and pen, a towel or an apron and wear old clothes. It would also be helpful if students each brought with them a cylinder that has been bisque fired.
